The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Bus Operations Division (BOD) anticipates contracting for wheelchair lift parts and performance of related services. The purpose of the contract is to establish a reliable source for purchase, delivery, and related activities for parts and associated services, in compliance with specifications and terms outlined in the scope.

equipment, and training.

Cancelled-South Tryon Bus Facility, Bus Steam Bay Lifts

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is looking to purchase and install 2 Steam bay bus lifts for the South Tryon Maintenance facility. The project includes removal of the old steam bay lifts.  The delivery date would need to be during business hours, with the vendor having direct contact with the Equipment Manager, based on equipment and time availability once the Procurement process is complete (6-8 weeks).

CATS Bus Operations is seeking a service contract for Forklift repair and maintenance

Charlotte Area Transit System Bus Operation Division (CATS-BOD) is requesting bids for Periodic maintenance and repair services for our forklifts. CATS-BOD uses multiple forklifts between two facilities. The facilities are located at 3145 South Tryon Charlotte, NC and 900 North Davidson Charlotte, NC.

The following is a sample, but not limited to, the type of forklifts that will need service at CATS-BOD. The equipment type and quantities may change during the duration of the contract.

PM Service
Monthly PM services of all shop equipment as recommended by original manufacturer.
Repair Service
Repair calls are to be responded to within 24 hours of repair needs being reported.
Vendor should have ample supply of replacement parts, for our types of lifts, on hand to limit the amount of downtime for our equipment.
Quality Assurance
Work shall be performed by a vendor of established reputation with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing PM/Repair services on forklifts and other lifting equipment.

Bus Operations Portable Lift Repairs

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is requesting proposals for PM and repair services for our portable vehicle lifts. CATS operates approximately 5 sets (20 units) of wired and wireless Stertil Koni portable vehicle lifts in its two facilities. The facilities are located at 3145 South Tryon and 900 North Davidson St, Charlotte NC.
