The City is seeking a qualified vendor or vendors to provide comprehensive glass replacement and repair services for vehicles and equipment managed by the City. Services include, but are not limited to, repair, replacement, maintenance, diagnostics, warranty work, and related representation for the City’s fleet, which includes a wide range of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Services will generally be performed at designated City locations. The Company must be capable of servicing all vehicle makes and models without exception.
Service Operations and Vehicle Coverage
The City requires turnkey Glass Replacement and Repair Services for a wide range of vehicle and equipment types, including but not limited to:
- Solid waste trucks
- Sedans, pickups, police vehicles
- Light-duty industrial and electric vehicles
- Off-road and specialty equipment
- Medium- and heavy-duty trucks
- Fire apparatus
- Construction equipment
The City of Charlotte is looking for qualified Service Providers to work in conjunction with Fleet Management to perform complete turnkey collision repairs and related services (excluding any City applied graphics), on the City’s various makes and models of vehicles. Service Providers shall pick-up and deliver vehicles, as well as perform all collision repairs at their facilities. Collision repairs may include, but are not restricted to, frame, cooling systems and lines, frame, engine components, transmission, steering, cooling systems, and related parts repairs or replacement. Services shall adhere to any related OEM requirements and/or recommendations.
City and County vehicles include but are not restricted to, Police vehicles, Fire vehicles, general staff cars, various pickup trucks, medium trucks, and medium duty transportation buses, all of various makes, models, and applications. As makes, models, and quantities are subject to change, the Service Provider is required to maintain facilities, inventory, training, and related equipment necessary to accommodate a variety of vehicles.
The City of Charlotte requires qualified light vehicle dealers and general service providers to work in conjunction with the Fleet Management Division to support the city’s fleet comprising various makes and model years. The services for this requirement include, but are not limited to, repair, replacement, maintenance, diagnostic, warranty repair, on all automobiles, vans, and pick-up trucks operated by the City without exclusions or limitations.
This RFP seeks to establish a contract for comprehensive light vehicle repair and maintenance services to support the City’s fleet, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery in accordance with the City’s operational requirements.
CATS Bus Operations requires a 5-year contract to purchase replacement glass for bus windows and windshields. The contract will include installation.

The city is seeking qualified vendors to provide glass replacement and repair services on fleet vehicles and equipment.
This Request for Quote will be for our CATS Rail Operations. The need is for glass installs for shelters and transit amenities. Some of the glass installs will be for shelters to install specialized art glass. This service consists of standard glass repairs, removal, install and replacement of glass for shelters and transit amenities.
