The Facilities Building Maintenance Division of the Aviation Department is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of various buildings, including the airport terminal, offices, fire stations, tenant buildings, equipment shops, and among others that house various City activities. The intent of this RFP is to select no less than two (2) companies to provide electrical services for the Aviation Department’s Building Maintenance Division. The scope of services is required to assist the Aviation Department with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. It will also include, but not be limited to the following: power, distribution, lighting, conduit, panels, equipment connections and low voltage.
The Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Furnishing professional consultation and analysis of a project site to determine the types and extent of repairs or renovations required.
- Identifying and analyzing requirements to mitigate workflow and pedestrian disruptions.
- Recommendations on new equipment.
- Replacement and new installations.
- Reviewing available data and consulting with the Aviation Department to clarify and define requirements, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Providing all transportation, labor, tools, PPE, supervisions, and permits, if applicable to perform the following:
- Power
- Distribution
- Lighting
- Conduit
- Panels
- Equipment Connections
- Fire Alarms
- Communications
- Lower Voltage
- UPS distribution system maintenance
The City of Charlotte requires qualified light vehicle dealers and general service providers to work in conjunction with the Fleet Management Division to support the city’s fleet comprising various makes and model years. The services for this requirement include, but are not limited to, repair, replacement, maintenance, diagnostic, warranty repair, on all automobiles, vans, and pick-up trucks operated by the City without exclusions or limitations.

Charlotte Area Transit System Rail Division is requesting to purchase 12 LRV S70 SAFT NICKEL CADMIUM BATTERY MODEL SRX220F3 COMPRISED OF 20 HIGH RATE SINTERED/PBE CELLS housed. The original life span of the current batteries have reached their maximum production life and inventory spares need to be replaced to ensure revenue service isn’t interrupted.
