Flooring Services

Charlotte Douglas International Airport is seeking a firm to provide flooring services that may include but not limited to demolition, removal, repair, installation, preparation of carpet, vct, ceramic tile, quarry tile, base, and specialty floors as well as the removal and installation of cove base. The intent of this solicitation is to select one or multiple companies to provide flooring services for various Airport properties on an on-call as needed basis.

CMGC – ADA Implementation – Phase 1 – Chambers

This project will address the non-conforming, physical ADA barriers to the greatest extent feasible and where applicable under code provisions. Phase 1 addresses barriers in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center Chamber Space. Scope includes the following, but is not limited to, Doors and Door Hardware, Ramps, Seating, Millwork, Speaker Podiums, Media Pit, Dias Access and Entry Vestibule Controlled Access.

Old City Hall – ADA Implementation

This solicitation will be used for addressing the physical barriers identified in the city’s ADA Transition Plan. Areas include but are not limited to; restrooms, water fountains, signage, handrails/guardrails, doors & hardware, main lobby service area, exterior sidewalks, parking, and striping.

Flooring and Wallcovering Services

The City of Charlotte is soliciting for flooring and wallcovering to include vinyl flooring, tile, carpet, rubber and linoleum, wood products, wallpaper and any other materials that are needed in City-owned or operated facilities.

Related services include installation, removal and reclamation, and recycling as requested. Facilities Operations is responsible for maintaining more than 200 buildings and 4.4 million square feet of office space. Any vendors selected for award are expected to have the adequate capacity to provide all-inclusive services as needed.

CLT Epoxy Flooring – CANCELLED

This project includes the installation of an epoxy resinous floor
membrane suitable for mechanical room applications over the existing
stained concrete flooring at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport
Central Energy Plant facility. This is a one-time project with an estimated completion term of less than 6 months.

Zone 4 Field Operations Center (Construction Manager-at-Risk)

The proposed Zone 4 project will include a 36,000 sf operations center, approximately 20,000 sf of pre-engineered metal structures to house open storage, crew storage, raw materials bunkers, two (2) combination trucks, fabrication shop, and two (2) fleet maintenance bays.  The project will also include demolition of existing facilities in a phased approach so as to minimally impact or impede current operations on the site. The project may also include roadway improvements to West Tyvola Road to increase accessibility to the site.

Rodgers Builders was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)  for this project.
