North Tryon Street Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)

This project will install single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand-dug and trenched conduit, existing conduit, and aerial attachments to poles. It will remove existing copper communication cables. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of traffic management cameras. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet communications equipment, traffic management camera equipment, and other related activities.

Sugar Creek Road ITS – CANCELLED

Arrowood Road Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)

Tuckaseegee Roundabout

This project will replace the signalized intersection of Tuckaseegee/Thrift/Berryhill with a roundabout.

Peachtree Hills Sidewalk

This project will install sidewalk within the Peachtree Hills area in three (3) locations. The proposed sidewalk will be located along Peachtree Road from Oakdale Road to Crandon Drive, along the northeast side of Beam Lake Drive from Peachtree Road to an existing sidewalk connection 800ft east, and along the south side of Oak Drive from Oakdale Road to an existing sidewalk connection 0.25 miles east.

Sidewalk Gaps and Ramps

This project will be construct various small sidewalk and ramp improvements throughout the City of Charlotte.

Ashley Road Sidewalk

This project will construct sidewalk along the east side of Ashley Rd from Greenland Ave. to Alleghany St. The scope for this project will include an 8’ planting strip where feasible and 6’ sidewalk, driveway improvements, wheelchair ramps and minor curb adjustments to eliminate pinch points for bike lanes.

Mallard Creek Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) & Lee S. Dukes Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Standby Power & Electrical Improvements – Cancelled

The first project site is the Mallard Creek Water Reclamation Facility located at 12400 US 29 HWY, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262. The scope of work for this project is a new standby generator facility, the conversion of the existing utility service from 480V to 4160V, electrical upgrades to the existing blower building and the replacement of an existing electrical switchboard. The second project is the Lee S Dukes Water Treatment Plant located at 7980 Babe Stillwell Road, Huntersville, North Carolina 28078. The scope of work for this project is a new standby generator facility, the replacement of the existing 4kV switchgear and 4kV electrical duct bank to re-feed the existing transformers.
