This purpose of the Bryant Farms Road Extension, Phase II project is to continue the street connection of Bryant Farms Road between Rea Road and Ardrey Kell Road. The design is anticipated to include a two-lane road with turn lanes, shared-use path on both sides of the road, and improvements at the intersections of Bryant Farms Road with Rea Road, Tom Short Road, and Ardrey Kell Road. The project will also build a crossing over Flat Branch stream and will run adjacent to the Flat Branch Nature Preserve for a portion of the project.
McCullough Drive Extension
An extension of McCullough Drive, from it’s current terminus east
of southeast of North Tryon Street, to the disconnected terminus
southwest of W.T. Harris Blvd. It is already designed and real
estate acquired. This is necessary for splitting this project apart
from the McCullough Streetscape Project. Length = 0.272 miles
Sugar Creek WWTP East Equalization Basin Joint Repair
This contract will be for the rehabilitation of the east equalization basin. Construction will require the removal and replacement of deteriorating joint materials. This project will also include high pressure crack injection repairs.
McAlpine Wastewater Management Facility – Preliminary and Primary Treatment Facilities Rehabilitation
The project includes mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural rehabilitation of preliminary and primary treatment facilities at the McAlpine Creek WWMF. The facilities generally include Screenings Removal, Primary Clarifiers, Gravity Thickeners, Flow Equalization Storage, Flow Equalization Pumping, and Chemical Storage. These improvements will enhance operational reliability and efficiency.
Unspecified Time and Materials Water & Sewer Repairs
The Project consists of providing equipment, vehicles, machinery, implements, tools, supplies, incidentals, and skilled personnel to complete unspecified extensions, modifications, maintenance, and repairs to the existing water and
sewer system in the Charlotte Water service area.
Sugar Creek WWTP Influent Pump Station Electrical Building Settlement Improvements
This contract will be to correct the settlement of the electrical building at the influent pump station. The improvements will require pressure grouting under the existing slab. Installation of micropiles or helical piers will be needed at selected locations.
Village Lake Dr 2210
Project started due to surface depressions along roadway. City plans to remove and replace corrugated metal pipe with 83 linear feet (LF) of 8’ x 4’ reinforced concrete box culvert; remove and replace two headwalls; remove and replace 311 LF of 15″ reinforced concrete pipe (RCP); remove and replace 42 LF 24″ RCP; remove and replace 27 LF 18″ RCP; bank grading; and remove and replace 85 LF 10” ductile iron pipe of sewer.
Mallard Creek Road Shared-Use Path (Governor Hunt to Driwood)
This project will construct a shared-use path along the east side of Mallard Creek Road from Governor Hunt Road to Driwood Court. Specific improvements will also include construction of a plant strip, curb and cutter, accessible ramps, driveways, and potential storm drainage improvements. The purpose of this project is to improve pedestrian safety, mobility, and connectivity along Mallard Creek Road. Project Length = 0.4 miles.
WT Harris SUP (JW Clay to N Tryon)
A 12’ wide shared-use path will be installed along WT Harris Blvd, from JW Clay Blvd to N Tryon St. This includes pedestrian ramps, storm drain services, and new pavement markings in addition to the shared-use path. Project Length = 0.33 miles.
