Pleasant Grove Road Sidewalk- Cancelled

This project will construct sidewalk along the south side of Pleasant Grove Road from Hipp Road to Oakdale Elementary School.   This project has been cancelled.

Shade Valley Realignment Project

Construction of a roundabout at the Shade Valley Road/ Oakhurst Commons Drive intersection and installing a 10 to 12 ft. concrete multi-use path along Monroe Road. Amenities include: sidewalk curb & gutter, planting strips, accessible ramps truck apron, pedestrian refuge islands, and a sand filter stormwater detention pond.

16th Street Streetscape Phase 2

This project is the second phase of 16th Street Streetscape project. Streetscape improvements include concrete sidewalk and ramps, curb and gutter, storm drainage, erosion control, slope grading work, and installation of a soil nail retaining wall on 16th Street adjacent to the Norfolk Southern parcel, at the northeast corner of N. Tryon Street and 16th Street intersection.

Ashe Plantation WWTP – Phase II Upgrades

The Project consists of the demolition of the existing 0.1 MGD “packaged” WWTP (flow eq, sludge holding, extended aeration, clarifiers), filters, generator, shed and select yard piping. The new infrastructure includes a new 0.1 MGD “packaged” WWTP (flow eq, sludge holding, extended aeration), two clarifiers, pre-engineered office/lab building, generator and the associated yard piping, site work, electrical and instrumentation. This scope of work also includes the relocation of and existing 8” gravity sewer line.

Citywide Trip Hazard Removal Services

The Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) Street Maintenance Division (SMD) is responsible for the maintenance of more than 2,200 miles of sidewalks and more than 7,000 accessible ramps within the City of Charlotte.  The scope of this work consists of the removal of concrete tripping hazards from sidewalks, curb ramps, and concrete curbing that the City agents have identified.  All work produced must be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for slope and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements for traction.  The company will be responsible for all traffic control in accordance with the most recent Work Area Traffic Control Handbook (WATCH).   Any debris resulting from the removal of trip hazards must be removed in a legal manner.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2021-A

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.
