This Project aims to modify and relocate existing equipment, replace tables, add an experiential element, and extend tenant services at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The modifications of the existing equipment will accommodate a dual-use system at each Gate Counter including the electrical and data infrastructure leading up to the network. There will be a Flight Information Display System” that will need to be relocated in the connecting corridor which includes structural attachments to the building and repairs to the existing Terrazzo. Work hours between 2300 – 0500 EST to prevent disruption to Airport Operations. This project will require 100% badging for all workers.
Concourse E – Phase 10
This project consists of a single-story addition to concourse E just south of aircraft envelope E4 and adjacent to the employee turnstile. The addition is primarily a shell space to be leased to a tenant or stakeholder for the final buildout. The base bid is for a 4,350 Square Feet (SF) addition and associated site work with two add alternates to increase the total SF by an additional 1,400 SF per alternate. Scopes of work that are included in this project but not limited to are: selective demolition, concrete SOG, structural steel, metal decking, miscellaneous steel fabrications, rough carpentry, PVC roofing and sheet metal, insulated core metal wall panels, waterproofing, joint sealants, HM doors and frames, door hardware, glazing, non-structural framing, gypsum board, acoustical panel ceilings, sheet carpeting, resilient base and accessories, painting, pre-engineered interior wall panel systems, resinous terrazzo flooring, signage, wall protective coverings, corner guards, fire protection specialties, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire sprinkler & telecommunications.
Main Terminal Air Handling Unit Replacements: AHU-6, AHU-49
The scope of this project is to replace AHU-6 and AHU-49 with new AHUs. New controls, ductwork, associated VAV’s and piping will be installed as part of a complete unit replacement. Each AHU replacement will require a detailed construction phasing process to ensure limited system downtime. Temporary AHUs will be installed as needed during the equipment replacement.
On-Call General Contractor
The Facilities Division of CLT maintains portfolio buildings, including terminals, offices, fire stations, tenant occupied spaces, and equipment shops. The intent of this solicitation is to select multiple companies to provide general contractor services for various airport properties on an as needed basis. The scope of services is required to assist the airport with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. Expenditures for each task estimated not to exceed $30,000 but companies may be assigned multiple tasks under the contract. The company shall provide services at various locations as needed. The city may solicit a quote for general contractor services from one or more companies prior to assigning an individual project.
