The project is a study of the current City of Charlotte Solid Waste collection process, the existing facilities for the processing of solid waste, and future needs that include providing strategic locations for additional facilities. The consultant needs to be able to make recommendations as well as have the resources to design a facility.
The selected firm will review the Solid Waste collection process and develop a master plan for how services should be provided throughout the City of Charlotte. This will include identifying possible locations for facilities, the make-up of facilities, and co-location opportunities with other new or existing City facilities.
The Valet Parking Upfit Project at Charlotte Douglas International Airport relocates the temporary valet parking location to a new permanent premium service valet parking operation and experience for the CLT passengers at the basement level of the Hourly Deck. The Valet Parking Upfit Project will include a customer transaction counter, customer waiting area, key storage room with passthrough window, employee breakroom, storage closet, four automatic glass sliding doors, paint and finishes in the Terminal and Parking Area, signage, hardware, and misc. equipment.
Work involves construction of a 400 linear foot sub-surface impermeable wall, two (2) observation wells, and four (4) monitoring wells. The wall will be constructed parallel to, and in close proximity to an active stream. This project is within the secure area of the airport.
The project will consist of replacement of 3 moving walkways in Concourse E and modernization of 5 Escalators in Concourse D. The projects may be separate or combined. Minor electrical and waterproofing may be a part of the Concourse D escalator modernization project.
The interior renovation within the CLT Center (Operations Center) to include new office space for a tech help suite, conference room, video editing room, and cell phone tech office. The project consists of approximately 2,500 sf and will be built in two (2) phases.
Design of Upper Little Sugar Creek Interceptor (at least Phase 1 from Wastewater Treatment Plant to East Boulevard). The complete project extends from Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to Sugar Creek Rd.
Renovations to the Historic Hangar including removal and replacement of metal roof and wall panels, and painting wall panels including a Preferred Brand Alternate. Electrical scope includes removal of existing exterior incandescent flood lights and replacing with new custom manufactured LED light fixtures reusing the existing electrical circuitry.
Renovations to the public areas including replacement of moving walkways, toilet room renovation and expansion, terrazzo installation in the common circulation areas, ceiling replacement, new wayfinding signage and mechanical, plumbing and electrical work as required to support the renovation.
