CMAR Services – Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT) Matheson to Craighead

The Matheson to Craighead segment of the Cross Charlotte Trail will implement a 14-foot shared use path beginning at E 36th Street. The path will continue down Cullman Ave and board walk up into a pedestrian bridge spanning the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks utilizing a prefabricated structure within railroad right of way. The structure will then connect to the existing trail built by Brand Properties within the Kaleido Noda apartment complex.

CMAR Services – Ashley Road/Tuckaseegee Road & Freedom Drive Intersection

The project area includes the intersection area and approaches for Ashley Road/Tuckaseegee Road (State Road 1662), and Freedom Drive (NC Highway 27). Currently, the area lacks adequate pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, limiting safe mobility and access to key destinations such as the Mecklenburg County Valerie C. Woodard Community Resource Center.

Central Kilborne Norland Intersection & Street Upgrade

Limits are from Woodland Dr. to just south of Havenwood Rd. / Kilborne Dr. intersection (.87 miles). The project includes a new urban greenspace named Potter Place (including public art), separated bike lanes, protected intersection improvements at Central Ave., wayfinding, storm drainage, street trees, and pedestrian medians.

Beatties Ford Rd. Sunset Pedestrian Improvements Phase 1

This project will improve the pedestrian and bicycle facilities on Sunset Road from Day Lilly Lane to Beatties Ford Road. Project length is approximately 2.12 miles. The work includes construction of concrete sidewalk, curb & gutter, curb ramps and driveways, drainage, grading, erosion control, traffic control, asphalt pavement, pavement markings and water & sanitary sewer improvements.

Brown Grier Road Upgrades

This project will widen the two-lane road to a four-lane median-divided road with multi-use paths between Steele Creek Road and Whitehall Park Drive, and a multi-use path north along Sandy Porter Road to the subdivision at Williams Glenn Road.

FY2020 CATS Bus Stops Improvements

Install American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant bus stops in various locations throughout Charlotte. The bus stop locations are: 1003 Toddville Rd.; 5141 Freedom Dr.; 10610 Westlake Dr.; 10023 Callabridge Ct.; 9800 Callabridge Ct.; 9729 Callabridge Ct.; 6219 Monroe Rd.; 6103 Fairview Rd.; 4536 Sharon Rd.; 1420 N. Tryon St.; 116 Dalton Ave.; and Tryon St. @ White Hall Commons.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2021-A

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.
