CDOT Sweden Rd EVSE

In June 2018, the Sustainable and Resilient Charlotte by 2050 Resolution was unanimously passed by City Council. This resolution set aggressive and aspirational municipal and community-wide greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals for the City of Charlotte. Specifically, it strives to have City fleet and facilities be fueled by 100% zero-carbon sources by 2030. The CDOT Sweden Rd facility currently contains many fleet vehicles and buses that are run on gasoline. In order to meet the 2030 target, the City has begun and will continue purchasing Electric Vehicles (EV’s) and equip the CDOT Sweden Rd Facility with EV Chargers.

Solid Waste EVSE

In order to meet the 2030 target, The City has begun and will continue purchasing Electric Vehicles (EV’s) and equip the Solid Waste facility with EV Chargers for refuse collection vehicles.

CATS N. Davidson EVSE Hub

Davidson CATS facility currently contains many fleet vehicles and buses that are run on gasoline. In order to meet the 2030 target, The City has begun and will continue purchasing Electric Vehicles (EV’s) and equip the N. Davidson CATS facility with EV Chargers.

Motor Control Center

The scope of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish a contract for the one time purchase, delivery, and other inherently related activities to procure a motor control center for the new electrical room in the solids transfer pump station at Charlotte Water Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility.  (RWRRF).

Firehouse #30 Replacement

Firehouse #30, currently located at 4707 Belle-Oaks Drive, near Charlotte Douglas Airport, is currently located in a house built in 1955 and needs extensive renovations. The facility is the only firehouse where crews must leave their living quarters to access their apparatus, as a result, in impacting response time.

Firehouse #30 design services with the use of Advance Planning funds will be utilized to build a replacement 3-bay 2-story firehouse to manage response volumes in the Beam Road/Airport area. The new facility will be approximately 14,000 square feet. The building will be located at 3019 Beam Road, directly across from the Police and Fire Academy, and the parcel ID number is 141-24-104. It is located in Council District 3. The firehouse design will be the same floor plan design as Hidden Valley Firehouse #45 (HVFH#45).  This project is also designated to be an all-electric firehouse and additional scope will be added.

Concourse E Gate E5/E5-A Modifications

Modifications-renovations minor changes  to existing  hold room and the exterior of building.  A new door to the exterior of the building,  steel walkway ramp from the building down to the ramp, new electrical and data and security work associated with the new door.

 

CMGC Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Project

This project is for the purchase and installation of up to twenty-five electric vehicle charging stations for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) Parking Deck. Scope includes all electrical infrastructure work including but not limited to electrical panels, conduits, and concrete work.
