Benefits Administration

The City of Charlotte is seeking a vendor to provide benefits system and administrative services to the City of Charlotte employees and retirees related to the benefits offered to City employees.   The City currently offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, pharmaceutical, advocacy, dental, vision, medical clinic and wellness, long-term and short-term disability (LTD/STD), life insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), retiree health reimbursement account (HRA), and other voluntary benefits.

The City’s benefit administrator will provide system and support data management, compliance, account management, and communications related to health, wellness, and voluntary benefits.

 

Vehicle Lubrication and Related Services

The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services seeks certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE) Service Providers to perform routine lubrication and preventive maintenance to decrease metal-to-metal contact and wear on automated arms and hinge points on City collection vehicles.

In support of the City of Charlotte’s Charlotte Business INClusion (CBI) Program, targeted outreach efforts for this procurement opportunity and resulting contract will be directed to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) within the Charlotte Combined Statistical Area.

Interested vendors are encouraged to be registered in the City’s vendor registration system and submit an application to establish itself as a certified SBE with the Charlotte Business INClusion Program prior to the Proposal due date.

 

Cancelled-UPS Equipment Upgrade (Rail-Technology Replacement)

This solicitation will be to select a a firm to perform a power study and start to replace the current commercial level UPS and inverters for all 15 communications cabinet on the Blue Line. The current UPS and inverters for all 15 communications cabinet have a life expectancy of eight years. They are at the end of life and must be replaced to prevent failures that impact the operation of communications to vital Signal and Traction Power operations. Likewise, environmental control/monitoring systems that support the communications houses has reached end of life and must be addressed to continue supporting the critical network equipment in each communications house. FY2019 – request to continue the system upgrade of the Blue Line and complete any outstanding items not covered in FY18.

Security Checkpoint Queue Management Services

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is requesting proposals from interested firms to design, install, and maintain a system to measure passenger flows at the airport, particularly the TSA Checkpoints.  This includes the measurement of wait-times and throughput to provide wait-times to CLT staff, partners, and passengers in real-time.

Pay by Cellphone Services

The City is seeking a company to provide pay by cellphone services for payment of the City’s on-street parking meter fees for the City’s customers. This includes all software, applications, a secure website for customers, hosting services, real-time credit card payment processing, customer instructional signage/stickers and other services necessary for the provision of the pay by cellphone services.

Replacement of Financial, Budgeting, and Human Resources Systems Request for Information

The City of Charlotte is seeking Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) information from Software Providers with proven experience in the public sector for the functional areas of budget, human resources, finance, procurement, project and grant cost accounting. The City’s vision is to implement an integrated software solution to process, report, and store information; facilitate delivery of services and activities through better financial management, improved business processes and better information for decision making.

Tasers, Body Cameras and Related Equipment and Services

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department uses tasers to restrain violent individuals when alternative restraint tactics fail, or are reasonably likely to fail, and/or where it would be unsafe for officers to approach a subject to apply restraints. A taser uses an electrical current to temporarily disrupt voluntary control of muscles causing short-term neuromuscular incapacitation.

CMPD is looking to establish a contract for the provision of Police wearable body cameras and a storage solution that shall be able to capture videos from an officer perspective in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained herein. The detailed specifications contained herein shall be considered minimums. It will be the sole discretion of the City of Charlotte to select the System deemed the best overall solution for the requirements and applications of CMPD.
