Stone Hauling Services – CANCELLED

Charlotte Water will establish a contract for as-needed hauling, delivery, and other inherently related activities of crushed stone to Charlotte Water locations.  All crushed stone and related items will be purchased from the City’s contracted crushed stone vendor (TBD).

Cancelled – These services will be combined with the citywide contract for the purchase of crushed stone.

Confined Space Entry Equipment

This Invitation to Bid (ITB) will seek a company to provide confined space entry equipment, with related services, such as equipment training to Charlotte Water staff, equipment repair services, fitting and tailoring services, inspections (annual and as-needed), inspection reporting, and written reports. Due to the length of repair time, the Company must be made available to pick up any equipment from the applicable Charlotte Water site that needs service within 24 hours of notice.

Cancelled – Shelter/Vehicle Interior-Photographic Documentation

Photographic documentation of the Gold Line streetcar phase 2 artwork at 11 new stops with 22 shelters of art glass, and the new streetcar vehicle seating and ceilings, to match previous quality and representation of the originally documented 6 stops. Includes scouting, travel, editing, and delivery of high resolution digital images.

Revenue Services for Transit Advertising Program

The purpose of this Project is to increase revenue to offset operating
expenses. To achieve this goal CATS is making several assets available to receive paid advertising.  CATS seeks to receive revenue from exterior advertisements that adhere to the MTC-07 Transit Advertising and Sponsorship Policy (see attachment A- Advertising Policy) while maximizing revenue and ensuring the safe operation of CATS’ services.

CMPD Lobby Security Services

The City requires professional Security Guard Services Companies to supply Security Guard Services at a number of City facilities throughout Mecklenburg County. Services include routine foot patrol during normal operating hours of the facilities; responding to calls for service based on incidents that occur or other requests; providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (“CPR”), cardiac defibrillation through the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”), and other emergency medical services; providing reports of incidents and other statistical information; and performing other duties as outlined within this Contract, and as directed by the City Project Manager.

The Company shall furnish the corporate and on-site management, technical support, trained security, law enforcement, and any equipment, tools, materials, or supplies necessary to provide the Services. The Company must have and maintain an established presence in Mecklenburg County or the surrounding area.

Security Booth/Guard House

REBID – CATS is requesting a Request For Proposal for the purchase of four Security Booths. This will include: Installation and Site Preparation Services for Pre-Engineered / Prefabrication Guard House; Ancillary Services related to Pre-Engineered / Prefabricated Buildings and Structures; Construction/Installation of a stationary Security Booth/Guard House with HVAC, LED lighting interior and exterior.

Security Booths/Guard Houses will be located at: Arrowood Station; Pelton Street (VMF rear gate); North Davidson, McGill Street.

Emergency Cleanup Services

The City is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of approximately 180 buildings, including offices, fire stations, police division offices, and equipment shops, that house various City activities.  The City also maintains cultural facilities, including museums and arenas that serve as venues for sports, entertainment, and other events.  Contracts resulting from this RFP may be used by various City departments for needs across the entire City organization, including the Airport and the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS).

 

The Company shall provide Emergency Mitigation Clean-Up Services at various locations as identified by the City.  This work will consist of rapid response for containment, demolition, disposal, drying, cleaning and decontamination as needed per IICRC standards and RIA guidelines on a per-incident basis for water and/or smoke damage.  Services consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for the services as directed by the City’s Project Manager.
