CATS FY 19 | 20 Vanpool Vehicle Purchase

Charlotte Area Transit will be conducting a solicitation for the purchase of Vanpool vehicles.  Nineteen of the vehicles will be 7 passengers carpool vans.  Ten vehicles will be 10 passenger vans.  Twenty-five vehicles will be 15 passenger one ton carpool vans and eighteen vehicles will be SUVs. Specifications will be provided in the solicitation.

Water and Sewer Items

The scope of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) will be to establish a contract for the purchase, delivery, and other inherently related activities to provide Water & Sewer Products in compliance with the specifications and terms and conditions.  Products include various size pipe fittings, clamps, and related other items to maintain and repair more than 8,000 miles of pipe and 70 pump stations.  The Company will be required to meet certain requirements such as have an e-commerce website, be able to over products via delivery and pick up, adhere to minimum stock levels, provide a dedicated point of contact, and furnish various reports throughout the contract term.

Rail Vehicle Windshield Wiper Blades, Wiper Motors and Spare Parts

This Request for Quote will be for our current Rail Vehicle fleet to provide windshield wiper blades, wiper motors and spare parts. Quality windshield wiper blades will assist Rail Operators in inclement weather. Our Rail Operations need to have spare parts for the ability of repairs. The quote is for a three-year contract for Windshield Wiper Blades, Wiper Motor and Spare Parts based on the list provided in Form 1 Pricing Sheet for Siemens S70 Light Rail Vehicles. All Wiper Motors and Spare Parts must be Original Equipment Manufacturer parts.

Medical and Protective Gloves – CANCELLED

Protective gloves are necessary to provide appropriate safeguards for City employees. Departments require a wide variety of materials designed for many types of workplace hazards. Employee safety and productivity are enhanced by additional application requirements for performance, fit and comfort.   Medical gloves are a critical supply item for the Charlotte Fire Department and are carried on all fire trucks to be used when treating individuals with medical emergencies.   It is critical from a risk management standpoint that firefighters wear an approved glove that provides a high degree of protection.

The scope of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to establish a contract for the purchase and delivery of protective and medical gloves within fourteen (14) calendar days from the placement of order.

This solicitation will be distributed to the City’s Small Business Enterprise (SBE) confirmed vendor list for  Protective and Medical Gloves.

CATS Bus Operations Motor Coach Industries OEM Parts

The Charlotte Area Transit System Bus Operations Division (CATS-BOD) is requesting bids for OEM parts for Motor Coach Industries (MCI) transit commuter coaches.   These parts will be purchased for the maintenance and service of 2001 Model D4000, 2016 Model D4500, and 2018 Model D4500 MCI commuter coaches.  

McAlpine Creek WWMF-Thermal Hydrolysis Preliminary Equipment

The City intends to develop a regional Class A biosolids facility at the McAlpine Creek Wastewater Management Facility (WWMF). Master planning identified thermal hydrolysis pretreatment (THP) followed by anaerobic digestion as the desired process for producing Class A biosolids. As part of implementation of THP at the McAlpine Creek WWMF, this RFP is being issued to solicit THP system proposals from qualified vendors.

CATS Bus Operations Soap and Cleaning Solutions

The Charlotte Area Transit System Bus Operations Division (CATS-BOD) is requesting bids for a supplier to provide bulk cleaners to the two Charlotte CATS-BOD facilities.   The division uses multiple degreasers and cleaners to maintain cleanliness at multiple levels.  This contract will include supplying and maintaining the chemical storage vessels, checking and maintaining adequate levels of cleaning products, and providing product equipment repair within a 24-hour period after reporting.
