The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Rail Division is developing a comprehensive automated track inspection program to identify, assess, and mitigate track geometry defects in accordance with industry standards and internal maintenance protocols.  CATS anticipates contracting out this service, which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Collecting and recording all required geometry measurements listed above
  • Operating in hi-rail mode to ensure full system accessibility
  • Utilizing advanced sensors, measuring systems, and data management platforms to generate accurate track profiles
  • Analyzing collected data in real time during testing operations
  • Performing immediate manual verification of suspect indications in the field

The intent of this solicitation is to select a company to provide rehabilitation and replacements utilizing selected construction materials for specific projects at various locations on Airport property on an as needed, Task Order basis during the duration of the scheduled contract.
