Terrazzo Repair and Installation Services
Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is looking for a firm to provide terrazzo repair services to create and maintain an appearance of a “world class facility” by providing a functional and safe experience for 58 million plus annual passengers. CLT has approximately 700,000 square feet of terrazzo flooring throughout the main passenger terminal and other property buildings. Repairs may include but are not limited to; cracking, spalling, delamination, holes/voids, damaged cove base and dividers strips.

CLT VoiP Migration
The primary goal of this project is to upgrade the existing telecommunications infrastructure at the airport from copper Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines to a more advanced, efficient Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system. This transition is aimed at addressing the current limitations of the outdated system, which include lack of modern communication features and inefficiency in handling the airport’s operational demands.

ASR and Center Lighting Vault Relocation
The Center Lighting Vault Relocation Project will relocate the existing lighting vault, located at the Mid-Field area at CLT Airport to a new proposed location. The project will consist of site work, building work, site utilities, and airfield lighting circuitry.
The selected Final Design Engineer or Engineer of Record (EOR or Consultant) will produce Construction Documents to be issued for competitive bidding of one or multiple construction packages, followed by Conformed or Released for Construction Plans issued to the responsive or responsible bidder for Construction. The design and documents are to be based on Preliminary Design or bridging documents prepared by the Owner’s Master Civil Engineer (Aviation Consulting Engineers, LLC, or ACE). The Preliminary Design effort will include completion of the Design Geotechnical Subsurface Investigation, preliminary design plans to a 30% level of completion, pavement design, and preliminary surveys. Final Design surveys, including pavement tie-ins, etc. will be the responsibility of the Consultant.

Concourse E – Phase 10
This project consists of a single-story addition to concourse E just south of aircraft envelope E4 and adjacent to the employee turnstile. The addition is primarily a shell space to be leased to a tenant or stakeholder for the final buildout. The base bid is for a 4,350 Square Feet (SF) addition and associated site work with two add alternates to increase the total SF by an additional 1,400 SF per alternate. Scopes of work that are included in this project but not limited to are: selective demolition, concrete SOG, structural steel, metal decking, miscellaneous steel fabrications, rough carpentry, PVC roofing and sheet metal, insulated core metal wall panels, waterproofing, joint sealants, HM doors and frames, door hardware, glazing, non-structural framing, gypsum board, acoustical panel ceilings, sheet carpeting, resilient base and accessories, painting, pre-engineered interior wall panel systems, resinous terrazzo flooring, signage, wall protective coverings, corner guards, fire protection specialties, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire sprinkler & telecommunications.

Airport Master Plan Update
The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to conduct an update to its Airport Master Plan. As a large hub, the airport seeks a comprehensive assessment of its current facilities, operations, and projected future needs, aligned with FAA guidelines and industry best practices. The scope of work includes evaluating existing conditions, forecasting aviation activity, analyzing capacity and facility requirements, and developing alternatives to accommodate future growth.

Contract(s) will be used to provide maintenance and support for systems purchased under these Contracts. Contracts may include additional software licenses, services, and hardware. These task order Contracts will provide Aviation the necessary flexibility to ensure the needs of the rapidly changing environment are met. It is critical to ensure the Airport’s technology systems are stable and safe to allow tenants to connect to their own technology systems.

Concourse A Modifications
This Project aims to modify and relocate existing equipment, replace tables, add an experiential element, and extend tenant services at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The modifications of the existing equipment will accommodate a dual-use system at each Gate Counter including the electrical and data infrastructure leading up to the network. There will be a Flight Information Display System” that will need to be relocated in the connecting corridor which includes structural attachments to the building and repairs to the existing Terrazzo. Work hours between 2300 – 0500 EST to prevent disruption to Airport Operations. This project will require 100% badging for all workers.

Integrated Pest Management Services
The Airport is seeking a qualified company to provide Integrated Pest Management (IPM) services. The company must supply all necessary supervision, labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and applicable licenses and permits required to perform these services at CLT. CLT’s IPM program is defined as a comprehensive approach to preventing and solving pest issues through education, inspection, identification, sanitation, exclusion, communication, biological and mechanical controls, and, when appropriate, targeted applications. IPM services must be conducted in a way that ensures the health and well-being of both the public and airport personnel. The company is also responsible for removing and disposing of all dead pests covered under this contract. The job site includes approximately 2 million square feet of interior facilities, multiple on-property buildings, CLT buses, and parking lots.

Asphalt Shoulder Rehabilitation-Phase II
As part of the airfield master plan effort to repair runway and taxiway asphalt shoulders asphalt crack seal and replacement is needed to meet Part-139 FAA requirements. This project will re-construct and repair asphalt shoulders for Runway 18R/36L, Runway 18C/36C, Taxiway’s Echo, Whiskey, and Charlie.
The project includes erosion and sedimentation control, airfield asphalt paving and repair which meet FAA circular requirements.
CLT is seeking a TSA approved Designated Aviation Channeler (DAC) for Criminal History Records Checks, Security Threat Assessments, Record of Arrest service, and automation of the Custom Seal Process known as eBadge.
