Property and Casualty Claims Third Party Administrator Services

The City of Charlotte’s Risk Management Division (“RMD”) is seeking proposals from qualified Companies to supervise, administer, and manage Property and Casualty Claims for the following Claim Types:

  • Liability Claims: Bodily Injury, Property Damage Liability;
  • Property Damage: Auto;
  • Subrogation; and
  • Sewer Back-Up Program.

The services must be handled in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and specific notification requirements. Currently, the RMD handles Claims for the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, totaling an estimated annual of 1,289 claims per year.

The City seeks to work with a Company that can treat our Claims as a priority, as many Claims demand an immediate response, regardless of the time of the day. Claims handled by the selected Company will require field investigations in the Charlotte Area.

The Contract will be effective for Three (3) years (the “Initial Term”) with the option for two (2) one-year renewals (the “Renewal Term”).

 

 

 

Insurance Brokerage Services

The City requires a qualified insurance brokerage firm to perform Services for the City of Charlotte. Through an inter-local agreement, the City’s Office of Risk Management provides property and casualty risk management services to: the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County (PLCMC), MEDIC, and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA). Collectively, these organizations are known herein as the Entities. The Company shall perform work and services on assignments related to supporting the Entities in their risk management and insurance needs. Services include market analysis, coverage recommendations and placements, consulting services, and other related services.
