On-Call Roof Maintenance and Repair Services

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CDIA) has responsibility for maintenance and repair of approximately one hundred (100) buildings including the airport terminal. CDIA requires a minimum of two on-call contractors to perform maintenance and emergency roof repairs of these facilities. The selected contractors will enter into a time and materials contract for on-call roof maintenance and repair services on an as needed basis. The work shall include the furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, and services required to make the necessary repairs. Along with making repairs to roofs, the Contractors shall be required to demolish and remove existing roof materials and dispose of all waste material. Repairs shall be billed on an agreed upon hourly rate and materials percent mark-up.

Building Sewer Relining (less than 6″)

Charlotte Water is seeking qualified contractors to provide trenchless relining methods to sewer drain lines 6 inches in diameter or smaller located in industrial and administrative facilities. The intent is to rehabilitate aging building sewers, extend service life, reduce infiltration/exfiltration, and restore reliable service without full pipe replacement.

On Call Fencing Installation and Repair Services

General Scope.
The scope of this contract shall be to provide On-Call Fencing Installation and Repair Services for the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the Charlotte Water Department, the Charlotte Area Transit System and other various City Departments as may be needed.
Service provider must be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision staff for fencing services to install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance on fences and gates on a time and materials basis. Service provider must store all fence and gate materials clear of ground, protected, so as to preclude damage from weather or others. The service provider will be required to respond on site within six (6) hours of receiving notification by the City for all emergency security issues that require repair or installation of fence and or gates. It is anticipated that emergency security issues will constitute approximately 10 percent of the overall scope of the work to be completed. All other repairs or installations require a 24-hour response.
The intent of this request for proposals is to establish a service provider or providers for on-call services on an as-needed basis for existing City owned fencing and gates. This request for proposals is not intended to be a solicitation for fencing projects or installations related to new construction or other capital projects.

General Contractor Services

Charlotte Water is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to provide as‐needed General Contractor services for facilities, structures, and other assets.

The selected company must carry a valid North Carolina General Contractor’s License and must be capable of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and effort necessary to provide the required services. The License Qualifier must have at least five (5) years’ experience providing services as described in the Scope of Work.

Concourse A Modifications

This Project aims to modify and relocate existing equipment, replace tables, add an experiential element, and extend tenant services at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The modifications of the existing equipment will accommodate a dual-use system at each Gate Counter including the electrical and data infrastructure leading up to the network. There will be a Flight Information Display System” that will need to be relocated in the connecting corridor which includes structural attachments to the building and repairs to the existing Terrazzo. Work hours between 2300 – 0500 EST to prevent disruption to Airport Operations.  This project will require 100% badging for all workers.

Concourse E – Hot Water Piping Relocation

This project is to relocate the heating hot water piping from under the ramp pavement and concourse floor and reconnect in the terminal ceiling space. 60% night work, 40% daytime work.  Project term will be 150 days.

 

Passenger Boarding Bridges Maintenance Services

The solicitation will involve a firm providing passenger boarding bridge maintenance services for ninety-seven (97) passenger boarding bridges on the A, B, C, D and E Concourses of the Airport.  The term of the Contract shall be for three (3) years with two optional one-year renewals.
