The City of Charlotte requires qualified service providers to purchase chemicals, repair parts, and services for drive-through wash facilities owned by the City. The chemicals and services are used to wash, maintain, and disinfect various heavy duty trucks and equipment, including, but not limited to, Solid Waste Services collection trucks, dump trucks, sewer trucks, and rodder trucks operated by Charlotte Water; salt spreaders and road repair equipment V operated by the Charlotte Department of Transportation; and rail cars operated by the City.
